About the certification
VEGANOK is an Italian certification mark for vegan products. It is managed by VEGANOK Srl Società Benefit. The certification identifies products that meet the requirements of the VEGANOK standard, particularly the absence of ingredients of animal origin and the prohibition of animal testing. Certified companies receive a control code that can be used to verify the validity of the certification.
VEGANOK certification guarantees:
- compliance with the WVG (European Vegan Standard),
- the absence of ingredients of animal origin,
- the prohibition of animal testing,
- the prohibition of labels and images that are inconsistent with the vegan philosophy,
- the assignment of a unique company control code,
- the possibility of third-party inspection by an authorised inspection body.
For food, cosmetic and cleaning products, the VEGANOK Excellence label is also available. In addition to the VEGANOK requirements, it adds further criteria, such as organic certification and other requirements under the standard.
For cosmetics and detergents, VEGANOK specifies requirements including compliance with the WVG standard, compliance with the VEGANOK standard, the absence of ingredients rated as “red” by BioDizionario, a unique control code and the possibility of third-party inspection.
Consumers can verify the validity of the certification using the company's control code on the VEGANOK website. Certified products must display the VEGANOK label and the relevant control code.
