Shaun Brisley is an English former professional footballer who played primarily as a defender. He was born on 6 May 1990 in Macclesfield. During an eighteen-year career, he made 528 competitive appearances in the English Football League and lower divisions.
He joined Macclesfield Town's youth team at thirteen and became a professional at eighteen. He made his first-team debut in March 2008 and soon secured a regular place in defence. In 2012, he initially joined Peterborough United on loan, which became a permanent transfer after three months.
With Peterborough, he won the Football League Trophy in 2014 and scored in the final. In later years, he played or went on loan at Scunthorpe United, Northampton Town, Leyton Orient, Carlisle United, Notts County, Port Vale, Wrexham, Buxton, Alfreton Town, Matlock Town and Congleton Town.
During the 2017–18 season, he formed a centre-back partnership with Richard Duffy at Notts County and attributed his improved fitness to a vegan diet.
