Phil Collen is an English rock guitarist best known as a member of Def Leppard. He joined the band in 1982 and contributed to its most successful albums and international concert career.
He was born on 8 December 1957 in London. Before joining Def Leppard, he played in Lucy and Girl. He replaced original guitarist Pete Willis in Def Leppard and became part of the line-up that achieved worldwide success.
He contributed to Pyromania, Hysteria, Adrenalize and other albums by the band. Alongside Def Leppard, he has also worked with Man Raze and Delta Deep. He is known for his interest in fitness and has followed a plant-based diet for many years.
