Henry Oldham was an English physician specialising in obstetrics and a co-founder of the Obstetrical Society of London. He was among the doctors who advanced specialist teaching in obstetrics and diseases of women during the 19th century.
He was born in Tooting on 31 January 1815. He studied at London University and, from 1834, at Guy's Hospital Medical School. He gradually gained qualifications from the Society of Apothecaries and the Royal College of Physicians and received a doctorate in medicine from the University of St Andrews in 1858.
In 1849, he was appointed obstetric physician and lecturer in obstetrics and diseases of women at Guy's Hospital. After twenty years of service, he became consulting obstetric physician. He died in 1902; sources give different exact dates of death.
